    1. Ingredient review: 1. Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. It is found naturally in the berries of the mountain ash tree as well as being synthetically produced. It is a food grade preservative that is also used in personal care products and cosmetics. The EWG rates it a 3 for concerns of possible allergic reaction. If you have an allergy to Potassium sorbate you should not use this product. 2. d-alpha tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) is a form of vitamin E. When it is preceded by a "d" prefix (d-alpha) it is derived from natural sources. It is attributed with anti-aging, antioxidant and SPF benefits. The EWG rates it a 3 for concerns of possible allergic reaction, possible carcinogenic contamination at higher doses and contamination concerns during manufacturing with Hydroquinone, a FDA-restricted whitening agent.
    2. Our Take on this: With a low EWG rating of 3 and low dosage amount we have chosen to view this product as safe for use.
